Festivals at SIT,Lonavala

The year 2010 started with a series of events for students and staffs. The year started with the Annual cultural Gathering i.e Surabhi 2010 in Amphi theatre at STES ,loanavala followed by Sinhgad Karandak at STES vadgoan Campus Pune. The event witnessed the Solo dance competition with a remarkable winning of an Engineering student of SIT at the Sinhgad Karandak. At the same time the first Alumni meet "360 degree" of SIT,Lonavala took place at STES Campus Lonavala.  The Vice-Principals of SIT,Lonavala in their introductory speech said that the Alumni association of SIT has send its proposal to University of Pune for registering itself overthere. The event ended with feedbacks,comments etc from the Alumni.

This was not the End of the festivals, The SIT  organised its first National technical Festival named "Xenos 2010". At the same time the SIT witnessed GISFI's meeting headed by Prof. Ramjee Prasad from albog University,Denmark. During these days an I4CT college was inaaugurated for research work in Presence of many eminent personlities in STES,Lonavala campus.

Now again its the MCA(Engg.) dept. of SIT ,that organised a state level Technical festival "Techno bit 2010" in SIT on 13-03-1010 .

There are various other domains that are still untouched....in sports news the students of the college participated in Sinhgad Karandak and won a couple of matches. Then started another round known as "Stroke 2010" for Staffs and Students. There were different sports competition for staffs and students. It was an inter Department and Intra college Competions.

There comes in activation different Student Clubs. The Robotics club Organised a 2 day workshop on level one of Robotics for interseted students.

The illuminati magazine started its new stream "Illuminati Reunion" in collaboration with T&P dept. SIT to help students perform better in Campus Recruitment Program.

Various other students organisations like ACES organised few competitions,Astro Club organised Star watching event "Whats your Rashee" on 13-03-10 evening in collaboration with COEP,Pune.

The mechanical engg. student made a racing car and whhich went for a great event at Indore.

The magazine "illuminati" in association with Institution of Engineers organised a Debate Competition for Students at SIT. The details for the event are available on the given link activities-abhishek.blogspot.com .

An event of Project Exhibition of Value addition program was inaugurated by the Vice-Principal Prof. Karande at SIT Lonavala took place.
